A Few Things That I Learned From Cotto vs Clottey

I am sure there will be alot of people who disagree with me, but it doesn't matter.

    1. Cotto is a warrior with more heart than just about anybody else in the sport. He could have tried to get the doctor to stop the fight after the 4th round, and he would have won by the scorecards, but he wouldn't take the easy way out.

    2. Emmanuel Steward is getting terrible at calling fights. Even when Clottey was on his ass, in the first round, Steward was saying Clottey was dominating the fight. He was more biased then even Jim Lampley.

    3. It was nice not having to hear Larry Merchant for a change. I can't stand the fact that he thinks he is the reason people tune into HBO for a fight.

    4. Clottey acted like a *****. If you watch the replay you see Clottey twist his left knee, and then grabs Cotto. Cotto pushed him off and he spun around and fell flat on his face, and didn't want to get up. Lame! The ref had to tell him to man up and be a warrior to get him off the ground. Also, everytime Clottey clinched and they broke, Clottey would turn around to get out. And of course one of Cotto's punches accidentally lands on the back of Clotteys head, and Clottey drops to the ground almost in tears trying to get Cotto dq'd or at least a point deduction. It looked alot like the acting job Bernard Hopkins pulled in the Joe Calzaghe fight. And again the ref had to tell him to be a warrior and get up.

    5. Clottey could've won the fight easy if he didn't coast so much. He has nobody to blame but himself.

    6. Even though the judges had the scores way off, the better man did win. The scores really are irrelevant.
