Richard Schaefer: "Floyd's injury just a cartilage thing, NOT a broken rib"

"I've been on the phone talking to HBO, talking to the MGM Grand, talking to our sponsors, and my talking to my team about all of the issues," Schaefer said. "The new date will depend on doctor's orders. Will it be a month later? Two months later? We don't know. He needs to heal. But I was a told its was probably a cartilage thing, not a broken rib or anything."

Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s boxing comeback has been postponed because the boxer suffered a rib injury while training.

I'm thinking poor PPV sales were also a factor in this delay

The only injury is a bruised ego. His ribs are fine!

Of Course Shaefer is gonna go along with the story. He's Golden Boys's CEO. He has to look after thier best interests. If this fight showed signs of flopping, they needed to postpone it to avoid taking a big hit.
