he fought oscar and hatton back to back and that gassed his head up a bit. yes he did play a large part in promoting the fight and being the villian and so on and so forth but i think with the recent reveal of poor ticket sales he is back to his baldomir days. people buy the ppvs because they believe they are going to see him finally get his ass kicked. what im wondering is, do people really have no faith in juan manuel marquez at all or is the public really no longer interested in him since we have an explosive little killing machine like manny pacquiao on our rader?
floyd mayweather - not as big of a draw as he thought?

cant deny FACTS if he was the cash cow and draw he thought he was the marquez fight would have sold better. saying that who gives a **** about ppv numbers and ticket sales as hardcore boxing fans we want to see the best fights **** the mainstream. its funny though because these mayweather nuthuggers(not real fans) constantly talk about money may and why he doesnt fight tough fights because the opponents are not draws.Comment

i'm not one of those ppv # nuts or one to care about how much money someone makes.
boxing is about - who you fought or how many ppvs you sold?Comment

He's not as big a draw as he claims to be. He'd have you believe he's the reincarnation of Jack Dempsey
But he definitely is a draw and I'd argue the biggest around right now (in America anyway) if you discount De La Hoya
This fight isn't exactly capturing imaginations though. In fact people are being a little harsh... Marquez is no man's walk overComment

i'd say in terms of drawing power its like 60-40 or 70-30 in pacquiaos favor. people are tired of the tough guy act and constant retirements. He's not as big a draw as he claims to be. He'd have you believe he's the reincarnation of Jack Dempsey

No way to 70-30
If since demolishing Hatton Pacquiao has overtaken Floyd I won't be surprised, but it wouldn't be more than 55-45.
And if you judge it around actual tangible facts based on past numbers as opposed to speculation, Floyd would deserve 55-45 or 60-40 in his favourComment

pacquiao has the entire phillippines backing him, praising him and talking about him constantly. that alone shuts mayweather down. sure it doesnt translate into ppv sales but in terms of an actual following mayweather isn't even close. people only look out for mayweather when he is fighting. pacquiao is in movies, records music and is a politician. floyd can't hang. what's he got? some cute cars? lmao. he has to throw money (fake money) out in clubs to make the news.Comment
