Cotto deserves a Mega-fight just as much as any other fighter in the division.

He deserves a mega fight but I'm not interested in seeing him fight Pacquiao.

lol Cotto's movement isn't good by any means! Cotto needs to sit on his punches (just like Hatton) to throw with some power. He is like a tank, with a increasingly vulnerability in him for taking a beating vs anyone half decent he faces for years now.

Cotto can make 144, but he'll be pretty weak and stamina will be a problem. I don't think he can win a fight against Pac even at 147, but this will make it even harder.

How long have you been watching pacman ?? I have been watching pacman since he defeated barrera and I have been watching cotto since paully.. I tell you at 147 pacman would have a difficult time beating cotto but at the same time if cotto goes below 145 he will have a very difficult time beating pacman..

We filipinos have a saying "the boat comes to the port, not the other way around". If Cotto wants his mega-buck fight with Manny, he should meet him halfway in weight. Pacquiao comes into fight night at 148; Cotto at 160. Cotto came into the Clottey fight at 146, really without being required to lose one pound. insisting on 147 shows that he is a coward and cannot fight Pacquiao unless he is 12 pounds heavier come fight night.

You are correct in one thing though, albeit from a wrong angle: there are weight divisions in boxing. If Cotto cannot fight below 147, why is asking for a fight with Manny? Let him fight the not-so-great fighters at welterweight, because Manny does not need Cotto; EVERYONE is lining up for a chance to fight Pacquiao, from across all weight divisions: From bantamweight Darchinyan, Katsidis, lightweight Valero, to Welterweight/Middleweight Mosley, lightweight Marquez, Campbell, even middleweight Hopkins. EVERYONE. Why? because he is the best and all of them want to fight the best. All of them want what he has: the P4P top spot. So if Cotto wants to ***** on 2-3 pounds (which I doubt; only you are doing that), Pacquiao will not disadvantage himself to the tune of 12 pounds and will forget Cotto and move on to consider other equally worthy fighters.

Lastly, please tone down on the vulgarities: you are showing your low class, and you are not doing justice to Miguel Cotto (who is a very classy guy) and his classy, respectable fans (who all gave Pacquiao his due by giving him a standing ovation at the Cotto Clottey fight).

Cotto never picks his fights he always says that his job is to fight and his company to pick his fights, his promoters. I challenge you to find an article that quotes cotto calling manny out. When they ask him he says sure, but he is not calling manny out at all. Manny and freedy are telling arum to get cotto. theres no point taking it easy now. hes p4p number 1 and in the pinacle of his career. mosley and clottey didnt ko cotto, but that doesnt mean pac has no chance. id say pac has a great chance, i mean if he can spark hatton out in 2 then you cannot under rate pacs power. but more important hes lightning fast aswell. cotto could get ko'd. but by the same token cotto could ko pac aswell if he can pin him down on the ropes.
