Honestly, he is the WBC champion not some up and coming prospect. He holds, probably the most prestigious title of the alphabet soub belts, and he calls himself a champion. Since this is the case I believe its time the kid takes off the damn training wheels and fights some of the sharks in the division. That or vacate his title and pick up something like the IBO that nobody wants. The three amigos of the division, Cotto Clottey,, and Mosley haven't signed any contracts for their next fight yet, and since Berto wants to be mentioned with these guys as one of the divisions best I say he does himself and us a favor by fighting one of these guys this year to prove he deserves to be a titlist. Either that or vacate the green belt, one can only tolerate so much Urango like defenses.

Mosley has like 3 fights left in him tops. He wants big paydays. So I can see why he wants Mayweather or Pacquiao. Maybe he should lure DLH our of retirement for a grand finale or something? At least he can get his payday there(mosley that is).

yea but as a second or third option. clottey has already stated that he wants the fight. pwill is probably gonna take clottey or a title at 154 over berto. and cotto vs pac is looking like its gonna happen..... berto is kinda just floating around

Since all the other top fighters have other plans, he should rematch Collazo or fight another contender to stay active and get more experience then go on and fight a title holder after...but a Clottey fight would be a great test and a great exciting fight, I hope it happens.
