The reason why I think Mayweather is fighting JMM is not neccessarely cuz he thinks JMM is the best out there right now, but he see's this fight having a "De La Hoya" effect if you may. Floyd is smart, and sees this fight can be a huge draw because he knows Mexican and Mexican Americans are passionate about their boxers, and with the Margarito scandal and DLH retired, Mexico can lean on JMM as their hero to beat the undefeated Money May
