    Wladamir-Chagaev

This fight is a week away lets discuss. This is to crown the Ring champ, I know Wlad is not the most exciting guy to watch all the time, but he does have skills and real power not to mention you never know when his weakness will come back to haunt him.

Chagaev used to really impress me before the injuries derailed his career. This is a big spot for him on a huge stage though, and he was in training to fight a guy much bigger then him (although that is about all Wlad and Valuev have in common) so he should be in good condition. He has real talent and this is a huge spot for him, to me it is hard to put anything past a fighter like that in a spot like this.

I have to think that Wlad is going to go his normal route and fight from distance, he has a lot of size on Chagaev so that is a sound plan. To me Chagaev has to get inside and really make it a fight, that is a tall order against Wlad because he is a powerful man to be catching shots on the way in from, but if Chagaev can limit the beating he takes on the way in, work Wlad to the body and rough him up I think he has a shot.

I favor Wlad to win but I would not be suprised if Chagaev sprung the upset (people seem to forget that he was a hell of a fighter).

I like Wladimir to win by late TKO.

Chagaev is a solid fighter in his own right, and not to be taken lightly.

But Klitschko is bigger, stronger, and has faced much better opposition.

It'll be a good win for Wlad, probably an easy one as well.

          On a breakdown ;

I look for Wlad to fight his typical fight in this one, Chagaev doesn't bring anything to the table that Wlad will need to make changes in his routine for.

He'll stay on the outside, and work behind his consistent jab, setting up the right as needed.

For Chagaev to win, he needs to get inside and make a go of it. He won't beat Wlad in a boxing match (though his boxing skills are solid), so he'll need to try to get inside and make Wlad uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, that's a very tall order against an opponet like Wladimir.

But Chagaev isn't an athletically gifted counterpuncher who might be able to counter Wlad from the outside.

He simply doesn't have the height, reach, or talent to do so.

He needs to get inside and make it rough.

But it's hard for me to envision Wlad having much difficulty with him.

Yea I pretty much think that Chagaev needs a knockout to win. I think that Chagaev is probably not good enough to win, but I do think he is good enough to force Wlad to really fight so Ithink this will be a little better then most Wlad fights.

If Wlad can be forced into a fight, I do not really think you can ever completely count out his opponent (no matter how unlikely). If you can not force Wlad to fight he is virtually unbeatable (unless he runs into someone as big, as stong, as well skilled that happeans to be a great counter puncher).

I can't imagine anything but Wlad stopping Chagaev. Chageav really impressed me when he beat Valuev but to be honest I thought he was on his way to losing against Drummond. My gut feeling is Chageav is just cashing out by taking this fight.

I pretty much see this fight going the same way as the Iggy fight except Chagaev will do a little better because he's more aggressive and more powerful, he won't just stand there and get pawed at by Klitschko. His best moments will be early when Klitschko will be trying to feel him out, maybe winning a round or two in the process but by the halfway point Klitschko will have begun to take over.

Klitschko by decision, 117-111 or 118-110. Don't see Chagaev winning more than 3 rounds.

Aslong as Wlad does not throw the forearm chop thing he did to Ibragamov, it was an interesting move but something I do not want to see to much of in this fight.

He probably will unless Chagaev makes him pay for it, then he won't.
