I saw Cotto wining 115-112, I saw the fight at the Garden and yesterday in TV, still believe that was a victory for Cotto.

Good fight. In my opinion Clottey Deserved the dec by a point or 2. Outside of the knockdown , He connected with more overall punches landed more powerpunches, jabs were even Clottey also landeded the more telling cleaner and effective punches. Cotto did fight well backing up and his stamina was improved from previous fights but when Clottey chased him down and cotto countered for the most part Clottey picked off most of his punches and would counter with punches of his own that landed cleaner and more flush. Good body slam by Cotto lol.Comment

And wanted to add to this Thread that i had the same Scorecard Ledderman had EXCEPT the 11th round, he gave it to Clottey and it was clear for me that Cotto took that round.Comment

I give Clottey MUCH respect for the fight and how he fought. But he was @ times too busy trying to get Miguel Cotto Disqualified. First, he headbutted Cotto and gave a long, deep ugly gash on his left eye that wouldnt stop bleeding, but that wasnt enough for him. Then he tried to get on Cotto's shoulder and we all know Cotto doesnt like that shht as he showed before wit (whats his name?), also when he was grabbing Cotto's arm which got Cotto upset and gave him a hit in the head so he can lighten up (LOL). And last, the low blow that he acted out a bit too much, he caught Cotto a couple of times way below the belt and Cotto put no excuses or faces, he ****** it up and fought back. IMO Clottey was trying to get the DQ and OR stalling some time which he was a bit fatigued and didnt want Cotto to catch on that. Thought he did keep coming back, even nodding his head as if Cotto didnt do any affect on him after that Combo that he partially blocked but obviously caught him pretty good on the top of his head and was breaking his guard. That was a smart move for him though because it would effect anyone's confidence in fighting back, i believe he did well on it lol, i believed that Cotto took it somewhat of a Bluff.
Great Credit to both fighters, especially after that hard clash that had Cotto blind for most of the fight and didnt complain @ all, and when asked if he was fine if he wanted them to stop the fight he simply said NO when it was obvious for a YES.
The best man won.Comment

I gave Cotto rounds 1, 3, 4, 6, 11, 12. If it were not for the KD I would have had it a draw, I scored it twice now came out with the same result. 114-113 Cotto, but the 3rd and 11th were swing rounds Cottos late rallies stole the rounds IMO.Comment

cotto vs clottey
have cotto winning 4 rounds 1,8,12 and you can pick any other close round.
smells of mosley vs cotto.its sad to listen to the commentators on hbo trying to hype cotto.he lost even if you give the last 2 rounds and the fist should have been score a 9-8 round since clottey was dominating the round.this is one of those decisions that make you wanna puke.watch the fight again and see how many rounds you can score for cotto and why is everyone looking of an execuse to give cotto the fight.he used dirty tactics when he was losing, wrestle clottey to the ground and the head shot watch it islomo and tell me he didnt mean it.cotto lost and saturday was one of those asd days in boxing unfortunately thy have been many of them.Comment

By Cliff Rold - Joshua Clottey had to wonder what kind of night it would be early on. There he was, winning the first round and then he’s on the floor in the final ten seconds off a jab. Whatever the expletives are in Ghana, the angry-at-myself look he wore in the corner said most if not all of them were running through his mind. When an accidental headbutt opened a nasty gash above Miguel Cotto’s left eye in the round three, speculation on press row questioned how long the fight would go past the fourth round, the invisible line between a no-contest and an official decision. [details]
when they interviewed clottey, he said knew something was up too, b/c it was taking the judges a long time to come back also.
bottom line here, i keep saying i have no problem (even though its questionable) with anyone who gave cotto the fight 114-113....but IMO 115-112 is too much, and i won't even mention the 116-111 scorecard. its completely reprehensible, and these judges need to start being held accountable when they returns highly questionable scores such as 116-111. they should at least have to get in front of the camera and explain themselves....until then, expect **** like this to keep happening.
i respect cotto's heart, will, and determination.....but there weren't THAT many close rounds in this fight (the two that were, i gave to cotto and he still lost 114-113 on my card), the rounds cotto won, you could clearly tell he won (1 only cuz of the KD, 6, 12.....after watching a second time 4, and 11 were actually closer rounds, but i gave them to cotto anyway). clottey clearly won the remaining rounds, which put him comfortably ahead going into the 11th and 12th rounds.
bottom line is, alot of ppl got caught up in cotto's flurries, like when he had clottey on the ropes, and the truth of the matter was he landed very few clean punches during those exchanges, and most of his **** hit arms, elbows, and gloves. i remember clottey even shaking his head at cotto one time, to let him know he wasn't landing anything.....
it was a close fight, only cuz clottey faded the last couple rounds, and let the scores become closer, but even giving cotto those last 2 rounds, he still was 2 poins shy of a win, and 1 point shy of a draw, and that's including the 10-8 which could easily have been ruled a 10-9 first round for cotto, since he was losing that too, before the flash knockdown.Comment
