and TBH, unless i see a medical report from a trusted source, this postponement IMO, is just a ploy to skip the whole JMM gaffe that team mayweather got themselves into

they see ticket sales struggling, they see a looming UFC card to compete with, they see the pacquiao ticket going to cotto, there's just tooo much coinciding factor for me to validate the 'forever-in-shape gym rat's' injury

and to make the announcement around the cotto fight, i think its Bush league...like announcing his comeback during PAC-HAtton

at this point, if the floyd circus is about fighting lightweights and postponements, as with my topic, he should just stay retired
All that is just speculation though, you act like it is fact. Inuries happean, they can happean to your man just as easily. There is no reason for Floyd to be playing games with injuries that makes zero sence.

People say he needs cash, for that he needs to fight (he is not getting paid for postponing fights). A real injury seems a lot more likely, then some crazy conspiracy to drum up sales or avoid other challenges.

Yeh this is what i dont understand. How the **** is postponing a fight gona help with the fight sales? The same guys that were gona go watch the fight in the 1st place will still end up going. No one will substitute going to watch Mayweather-Marquez for UFC 100. They'll either go to one or another.

Simple. Both sides have their own respective fans.

the fact is there will be NO fight on july 18th...if you're cool wit that then, you're cool wit that...

i jus think that someone who took 2 years to 'heal' his body would at least make it thru a training camp

You have to understand that when the name is Mayweather then some people tend to lose their sense of logic, Fighters get injured and it can happen to the best of them,There is no need to find any conspiracy theory to support a baseless arguement.

Occum's razor states that when everything else is equal, a hypothesis with least assumptions is most likely to be correct.

Injuries are a part of the sport they happean, injured ribs ain't no joke you have to let them heal because there is no cure but rest (and not reinjuring them).

If you want to believe in crazy theories that is up to you, but I will go with the most likely conclusion which is that he is really injured

Steve Kim said it best Kwame "Scissor Hands" Brown. Having watched him all year that description fits perfectly.

well, i guess i'll end our discussion on this matter with: im disappointed...people have been waiting, myself included, and we get treated to a circus fight with a lightweight...and once we accepted it, it gets postponed...pardon me for not initially accepting the legitimacy of the injury...its been a circus this whole time

Actually Edward Scissor Hands would probably have better hands then Kwame Brown.

I am sad that the fight did not come off, it is two of my favorite fighters dukeing it out so yea I am also disapointed. I accepted it from the start because I view them both as great fighters, and I love to see two greats (in my eyes) duke it out regardless of the size difference. I am a fan of Floyd how could I not be disapointed by this news.

It is possible that Floyd is bull ****ting this injury, I just don't buy it at this point. If we find out that he was not really injured down the road (next to impossible to find out for sure) then that will be different.

Floyd wants to get paid, putting off this fight puts off his pay day (regardless if the fight sells out or not he was getting paid well).
