Message to Joshua the Grandmaster Clottey

As all of you guys are aware,Joshua Clottey comes to this site a lot and he also personally responds to questions on facebook. He's a cool guy and a real asset to boxing.Joshua is a great fighter and a great person,I personally think the result of the fight was fixed. The 116-111 just speaks volumes.

Joshua what a fight, you are great Champ.Robberies happen in boxing and this was one of them.I think you really beat Cotto's arse and you were better than him in there.Do not let this discourage you,the world knows the truth and we cant wait to see you back in the ring.

Haters please stay away, this is a Joshua Clottey appreciation thread.

But respect to him and Big Up's are in order...

He fought well and matched Cotto's skills which surprised me, although I think Cotto's jab is slightly better and stiffer. He could have done without all that drama acting, but either way I am glad he came in and fought pretty well. I agree with the other two score cards but 116-111 is bull****.

It was a close fight not a robbery could have gone either way. Clottey did more damage but that's not how a fight is scored its scored on indiviual rounds

          But yes 116-111 is ridiculous

I felt he lost a close fight. But he seems like a great guy, and he is a great, solid fighter.

              Hey Clottey, do this:

dont throw punches while leaving ur feet. 1st rd knockdown
              work on ur stamina.
              increase ur work rate.
when in the next man's home town press on the ***ing gas.
and stop screaming robbery when u dont finish the last 2 rds strong.

Clottey is an elite fighter, and a great champ. I don't think it was a robbery though. It could've gone either way. Anyway, props to Clottey. He's a great fighter.

I has Cotto winning 114-113, but 1 round I scored could have gone to Clottey, same for Cotto but he didn't have as much of a case...

Anyway, win or lose he gained my respect for showing his worth... he proved he wasn't as much of an underdog and he was fighting with nowhere near as much support as Cotto but didn't let it get to him (it can make some fighters feel awkward sometimes i bet).

Decision is what they called it. They called me a better fighter and the opponent a better man. Is boxing about fighting or showmanship? It’s all about money. Who pulls the crowd? They robbed me. God bless you all for your support.- Joshua Clottey
