Clottey didn't fight like a challenger in the championship rounds by just chasing COtto to block Cottos punches. Clottey also had Cotto in the 8th or 9th round running with blood all over his face similar to how he looked in the 10th and 11th rounds of the Margarito fight. An outsider that comes into hometurf as a challenger and didn't fight like a challenger in his opponents backyard doesn't deserve the victory. Cotto won. Easy as that.
Cotto beat Clottey plain and simple

this is a poor argument. a better argument for cotto winning is the knockdown in the 1st round and clottey's lack of activity in the 12th. -
Actually its a good arguement. The fight was close and heading into the Championship rounds CLottey lacked that championship fire that would make him a great fighter.Comment

Clottey set the pace...landed more...and MADE THE FIGHT.Comment

At the end it was looking as if Clottey was just chasing down Cotto to block his punche IMO if he would of at leat thrown punches wether they landed or not he would of won the fight but he didnt.Comment
