Something Im So Sick Of And It Needs To Be Fixed!

It seems like every major fight I watch for the last 5 years has the same thing and they never do anything about it. The commentators even talk about it during the fights and still nothing is done. Im talkin about the slippery surface on the ads inside the ring. It ruins fights. Cotto vs Clottey was good last night but it couldve been great if it wasnt for 3 things. 1 was the Cotto cut, 2 was the Clottey knee, and 3rd was the ring. It happeneds all the time now and they talk about it on HBO & Showtime yet nothing is done. Both guys were slipping all over the place yesterday, e****ally Clottey. There were some times when it seemed as though guys were about to land a big shot but then they slipped.

Even worst, you can tell that it mentally affects the fighters. Like I can look at them and tell that there are punches that they purposely take some steam off of because they know that if they fully commit to the shot then they will lose there balance. There are also some punches that I can tell that they grip & dig there legs down into the canvas before the shot to stay balanced. Then the ref is always having to wipe the ring in between rounds. Why cant they fix this? This is a big time proffesional sport and the top guys have to worry about something like this? Thats sad and it has to change because one day someone is going to get KO because of it or blow out there knee

Im with u on that man, its a joke, last night in particular. Nobody was REALLY effected by it last night tho they both slipped alot but what if Clottey slipped and was struggling to get his balance back and Cotto Knocked him Out? Thats cost Clottey and the betting public alot of money, get it sorted!

i know. it boarders on insanity.
because of big money advertizers they freshly paint canvas surface so its like a skating rink.
the outcome of a fight can be changed by this.
or can it be used as a legal underhand tactic to get an upperhand on a fasteddie boxer?

cotto was sporting those new specialy made for him boots last night. he wasnt slippin and slidin like clottey!

yeah, they need to find a different way to put adverts on the canvas... maybe they can greenscreen the adverts on the canvas instead.

You would think that they could come up with a paint that is not slippery like ice, when it gets wet on canvas. They should do something about it though, watching guys slip sucks, also slipping and catching yourself (usually better to just fall down then try to stop the fall) is a good way to get injured in some fashion.

They could be patched in, like instead of having blue floor and just putting the logos on with some sort of paint or whatever it is, they could do it so the ads are the same material as the canvas... if you get what I mean?
