how about this scenario:
floyd knows manny will take cotto on oct-nov because of what manny, arum and freddie saw last sunday.
floyd beats jmm and his only good options are a fyt with mosley or re-retire.
he can't sit his arse and wait for manny-cotto winner, he's too obvious bout mosley.
he saw cotto and believes he can win over him.
but manny can sign cotto next month.

now, postpone his fyt with jmm until sept-oct so he can wait for manny-cotto winner.
