i mean, i told you people from day 1 that clottey was going to beat cotto...many feel he did...many feel he didn't...so, i guess i was wrong on my prediction on the surface but was i really wrong? i mean, clottey lost the split decison on the scorecards, but did he really lose...that's neither here nor there...
i read many threads claiming cotto was going to knock clottey out, basically his fans talking for him as usual...like they do all the time...clottey will de dominated, knocked out, he doesn't hit hard enough, he doesn't throw enough punches, his body will be broken down, all of this nonsense and clottey put on a hell of a performance and many feel he was robbed. despite the headbutt, the knockdown, the pushdown, the punch behind the head, and all of that other stuff like clinching and holding, this fight was exactly that, a ****ing fight...and i told you form day one, that cotto would not dominate clottey, let alone beat him...coot looked horrible, and many blame the cut, and i see where they are coming from, but vitale klistco was beating on lennox lewis with a cut much worst than cotto's...so, i don't see any excuse with a headbutt cut...many fighters fight brave with injuries and cotto was no different...i never questioned cotto's heart...the man suffered a broken nose fighting margarito and took him 11 rounds befor ebeing knocked out, and was possibly fighting a man with plaster of paris on his hands, so this isn't a question of his heart, he has that, he fought brave, but his fans hyped him up like he would kill clottey without even using what many people on here tend not to use, their ****ing minds...
clottey is or has never been a pushover...this man always stayed in fighting shape and has given all of his opponents much problems even in a losing effort...he gave cotto all he could handle and more, and for cotto's fans who looked past clottey without even breaking his style down, what do you have to say now...many people on here felt clottey got robbed, including me, but it was a very close fight....
the thing that gets me, is that had that been floyd in there with clottey and his fans looked past him, majority of this forum would shove it in their faces, even if floyd won...now how does it feel to swallow your pride and realize that clottey is and has always been a ****ing problem...for anybody...
