Dan rafael had it 116-111 for cotto

i just saw it on espnews. i was in msg last night and saw it a draw or 114-113 either way. he also said something interesting. he said that arum will use this cotto win to make floyd lower his demand. i think floyd vs pac will and should happen. and cotto should fight mosley. the winners face each other in 2010. i hope pac beats floyd cuz i doubt floyd will fight cotto or mosley. i think he retires after pac.

I thought 114-113 was right, but I couldn't possibly give Cotto anything more than 6 rounds. I feel like Clottey won his rounds very clearly and some of the rounds I gave Miguel were pretty close (11). Depending on what you like I think it could have gone in Clottey's favor by a point as well.

It was a tight match and Clottey landed some great punches, but like the majority of the people I have seen here, I think Cotto did just a bit more down the stretch. It was Clottey's fight to win w/ Miguel having the cut eye and all, but he didn't close the show.

The best thing Lampley said last night was (paraphrasing), "This is why Cotto's fans support him with such conviction, because he fights through situations like this (the cut) and continues to give his fans what they want".

Cotto is the man and Clottey deserves big props for fighting a great fight.

Yeah well after last nights performance I'm positive Gayweather will hand Cotto his ass.

Great post man. That's exactly what I think.

I think what people don't realize is that, for better or worse, it doesn't matter how convincing you win a round. Clottey more or less dominated rounds 7,8,9, and the first half of 10, so that's what make people view it as a robbery. The rounds Cotto won were closer, but he still won them.

Both dudes left everything in the ring, can't ask for more than that.

It wouldn't surprise me if Dan Rafael still had Jermain Taylor in his p4p list.

He's a good source, but some things he gets wrong, like this.

Cotto won, but not by that margin.
