    I had it 114-113 Cotto...

Close fight, much respect to both fighters... Cotto for having the heart to fight on through that cut and win those rounds and Clottey to come back and show his worth and show to the public that he isn't as much of a underdog as anyone thinks.

Besides the part where Cotto slammed him in the corner, which I thought was ******... I think that when he has a cut like that and he wants to please his fans he could of just got a little pissed off for a second.

I gave some rounds to Clottey that were pretty close rounds, maybe these could have gone either way but I just felt Clottey did a little more in those rounds... some rounds I gave Cotto where quite close but I was still confident he won those rounds because I don't think they were quite close enough for Clottey to steal.

I felt that after round 9 Clottey faded when he should of carried on doing what he was doing... he was bringing the fight to Cotto until them and landing the clean effective punches in a lot of the rounds and also trying to pressure him, but after round 9 he wasn't landing anything and just moving towards him, when Cotto was going in and out jabbing and counter punching.

Great fight, I loved watching it... I think the people who think Cotto has a bad chin are wrong, and even though Clottey managed to tag him quite a lot at time I think his defense is underrated... it still needs improving a little bit but I still don't think it is as bad as people make out.

I think the judges were wrong, I don't know how they scored it for Cotto by so many rounds, even though I had him winning I think most of us would think it was closer than they had it.

What did you guys think of the fight?

A Floyd fan that gives Cotto credit? Mad props to you man. I had the fight 115-113 for Cotto. Cotto just outworked Clottey he throwed 101 more punches in the fight and Clottey put himself in a lot of bad spots by letting Cotto take him to the ropes and hamer him and Clottey stop throwing punches in the championship rounds.

In round 9 I seriously think Clottey could of stole the fight... but in the last 3 rounds after that he just completely faded away and was chasing but not doing anything... he wasn't landing anything clean in those last 3 rounds or sharp like he did before and I thought that Cotto moving on the back foot moving in jabbing moving out and countering was the best thing he could do in those rounds. I think he didn't want to take the risk of getting caught those last rounds cause he thought Clottey could steal at so he just moved away and tried to outbox him, I think it was the smartest thing for him to do at that stage.

Believe me mate, I am a Floyd fan... but not a biased one, I will give my opinion and all that... but it isn't like Mayweather is the only fighter I am a fan of, I like watching Mosley, Hopkins, Cotto and now I want to watch some more of Clottey... I am a fan of those guys as well it is just that Floyd it my favorite fighter of the bunch that's all.

I had it 114-113 Cotto aswell, I agree with you that Clottey probably could have won the fight had he not faded in the later rounds. Rounds 7-8 reminded me of when Margarito got on top in Cotto- Margarito, and I honestly thought Cotto was on the brink of being stopped, but he showed a good chin and heart and I think he deserved it.

I reckon everyone who scored the fight should make their own individual threads for it.

I had Cotto by winning 114-113 and I know why the judges scored it the way they did. There were a couple of rounds that could have gone either way. Close enough to give them to Cotto.

Miguel Cotto scared me in the later rounds with that huge gash over his eye and Clottey backing him up and stalking him. It reminded me of the Margarito fight and I thought he would quit, but he dug in deep and finished off the fight like a warrior! He ran a bit but with a gash over his eye your not going to stand in there and trade and let your eye get worse.

Good fight. I hope to see these guys fight again in the future!
And hopefully Cotto's eye does not cut and we will see Cotto win a UD.

Like I said, if Clottey kept it up for 2 of the last 3 rounds he would have won it for me... but he faded. Like you said though, Cotto shown great heart, fought on and won enough rounds to get a decision I think... it was close though, no were near as wide as the judges had it. I still think Cotto won though...

I would love to see a rematch, I thought it was a great fight to watch and it would be great to see them do it all over again. I still don't agree with you though, I think the judges had it way to wide...

Cotto lost a good fight. Clottey won the fight. I hate when stuff like this happens!

He lost both the first round and the last.. BOTH key rounds he needed to win AND he lost the first by two points. 6 rounds to 6, with the KD being the determining factor of the fight. HE LOST.
