Now, is the style of pac wrong for cotto? I think so. Pac punches from wild angles which maybe too much for cotto to handle. Those uppercuts that clottey landed at will will surely be exploited to the max by roach.

Will pac be able to withstand cotto's punches? Pac's defense is underrated, he's clearly a different fighter now as far as defense in concerned. Y'all may say that his last 3 fights doesn't prove anything in terms of pac defense but you may watch his fights in slowmo to disprove my point lol.

Cotto will do what he does best, stalk Pac, walk him down, and throw punches to the head and body. Cotto is at best when he's coming forward.

Cotto's defense isn't bad and Pacquiao isn't known for the uppercut, so I favor Cotto in this matchup.

A Pacquiao-Cotto fight is a 50/50 fight IMO as long as Cotto doesn't struggle making whatever weight they agree on.

Catchweights are ******, Cotto has plenty of options if Pacquiao decides not to fight him. It's most likely going to be in 147.

Cotto has said he won't sacrifice himself to make weight but I think he'll relent as long as Pacquiao and his team are reasonable about the weight, I doubt Pacquiao fights him at 147. The most meaningful fight for Cotto is against Mosley, would like to see that one.

pacman has sorry defense too but he atleast has the speed advantage and he isnt as small as people say he is.. i would favor pac over cotto right now, but hopefully that fight wont happen..

I would actually disagree on that point. Cotto is still younger than Pac and is in the most stacked (arguably) division in boxing. He has Mayweather coming back, Mosley rematch or a Clottey rematch now too, as well as guys like Berto, who will be a big champ in a couple of years. All in all, I would actually say Pac has less options right now than Cotto.

Pac is only willing to fight big names and is only willing to fight them if they come down from 147 to 143 or less which will probably just not happen. The big names are at WW and will not come down that low and there is no one at JWW that is big enough for him to go for. So, he either waits for Mayweather, but if he doesn't agree to 50/50 then it won't get made and Mayweather just fights Cotto.

If he was willing to fight actual WW's, especially after it was him calling them out, then it would be different, but he's not, so he doesn't really have that many options. JMM 3 is the biggest fight for him apart from Mayweather which is looking less and less likely.
