By Cliff Rold - With the spirit of Puerto Rican Day weekend in the air, 34-year old lineal World Jr. Flyweight champion Ivan Calderon (32-0-1, 6 KO) of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico was given a rousing, hero’s welcome at Madison Square Garden in the lone world title bout on the undercard of Saturday’s Welterweight clash between Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey. The pound-for-pound level technician would leave without victory, or defeat, for the first time six rounds later as the crowd booed a disappointing conclusion resulting in a draw after a spirited effort from 27-year old Rodel Mayol (25-3-1, 19 KO) of Mandaue City, Cebu in the Philippines. Hey, smartaleck. Nice wordplay. you made Ivan Calderon win on your article as if he did anything convincing to win the fight. Actually, he did nothing at all. Answer me. Do evading, back pedalling and defending rack up points nowadays? I mean, is this a new rule in boxing? You definitely don't know what you're talking about. Watch the fight and you would realize that Mayol clearly should have won that fight. -

Was Korobov injuryed before the fight or did his opponents movement bother him a bit or was it just me? I saw it on a live-stream so I don't know what was up with that fight but I had his opponent winning the 3rd round(if I remember correctly)... I don't know, maybe its because I was so impressed by Korobov from his previous fight that I had too high of exceptions?Comment
