I just thought if Scott could hang in there a few more rounds It would give him an openning to get a KO even though he wasn't landing as much like the early rounds.

It wasn't a major fight but it was for a title and by the looks of it as soon as the body shot landed he might as well have gone to his knee so the fight could go on if he wanted to and not go on and take the shots and have it ended like that, depends how determined he was and if he believed that he could win in the later rounds.

Either way very good fight

It was a good fight. I'm not normally supportive of early stoppages, but I thought the referee made a reasonable decision. However we all see fights differently so I respect your opinion.

Great credit to Murray for taking the blame for his weight..he called himself unprofessional for not making weight and he couldnt have said it any better.

I also dont see anything wrong with the stoppage, Lawton doesnt seem to want to be in there in the last couple of rounds, he wasnt throwing towards the end i definitely agree with the stoppage.

Good stopage to be fair Lawton was getting pasted, lost every round and was hurt badly to the body, the stoppage was much like the Castillo v Corrales one, he would have just took unnecessary head shots and could have been seriously hurt.

Have you ever seen a worse fight than the Barnes one? I can't recall one. Barnes looks like an idiot trying to imitate Hamed. All he does in lunge in with loopy, inaccurate shots and then wrestle. Distinctly unimpressive.

Murray looked good, but I don't think he'll ever be a World-beater. Maybe he'll pick up an alphabet belt, but nothing more. Khan would box the **** out of him.

The only bad part of tonight was the 2nd fight that was ruled a loss rather than a no contest, what a bs british rule that has long needed changing!
