It was obvious in the first half of the Diaz fight that he has slipped a bit, but he is still fairly solid.

Nope, he's past it, but he has enough in him to win fights.

Very few 36 year olds are still in their prime at 36, marquez ain't 1 of em.

yes hes still a very game fighter. but is he in his prime? thats prime, the very up-most top of your game. from your reflexes to you body limits, and so on.

            Yes i think so.
JMM is like an old french wine, he only gets better with age. I think the Marquez who fought Pacman, Casamayor and Diaz wouldn't have lost to Chris John or Freddie Norwood.

I think he is starting to slow a bit for sure, I thought Diaz would beat him because of this fact. He is still solid and his experiance partly offsets the drop off in athleticism but father time catches up with everyone eventually.

After this fight I think he will be very past it (take this comment however you wish).

you know...i was thinking the exact same thing the other day. but i still wouldnt call JMM a prime fighter. aint that something? i think he lacked learning fights early in his career and age and now that he had them, nature wont let me call him prime.

I voted yes because I haven't seen any of his skills decline. That cant last much longer though eventually he's going to slow down
