Gee you have to very high standards not to respect a fighter who won a belt at 5 weight classes and some of the best boxers at each weight. Remember that Floyd fought at weights other than 147... Margarito is a cheater plain and simple. If a guy tried plastering his hands at my next boxing match I would be furious, and I bet you guys would go hog-wild if a guy tried plastering his hands against you at your next match.

High standards ? not really i just expect TOP fighters to fight the best fighters consistently, that is why i respect Hopkins and Pacquiao more than Jones/Mayweather.

Mayweather Jr. gets mad respect from me. Mayweather Jr. never cheated boxing fans of a fair fight. To be honest with you what he is doing is bringing the sport to the mainstream. I don't blame him for picking out his competition. That is part of the business. JMM called him out and if JMM beats Floyd he will get that dream fight with Pacman. When Floyd wins he will have options of SMM, Cotto, Pacman. 3 mega fights. What boxing needs.

Margarito not only cheated me out of my $700.00 ticket I purchased to watch him KO Cotto in 11. He cheated the sport itself. A couple months ago a casual fan asked me "What was that name of the fighter that fought with Plaster." Not what boxing needs.

You might respect Margarito's competition level over Floyd Jr. but respecting Margarito over Mayweather Jr. is plain ******.

Mayweather is a good fighter the only thing people don't like about may is the fact that he picks carefully his fights and talks to much. Otherwise, Mayweather is a great fighter with no loss.

He fought the top comp out there as much as he could besides welterweight. If you respect Margarito more then it shows you hate Mayweather, and kinda makes people lose respect of your opinion on him (no offense).
