Old school boxing consists of heart, determination, and putting it all on the line to prove you're the best. It was actually a sport back then. Now its filled with nothing but a bunch of greedy business men. The only ones i can think of that DONT like old school boxing are the pesky Floydboyz here who think boxing is only about ppv numbers and money.

Thank god for the few throwback fighters we still have in the sport.

i watch a good bit on youtube and some other sites, and while i really appreciate the skillset that some of the all time greats have, its just harder for me to get into/excited about it when i didnt watch their careers unfold... didnt live with the hype and buildup of the fights as they came to be... without living through the timeline its not the same.....

That's because old school boxers make today's boxers look prissy. Most of these throwback fighters would sometimes fight 3-4 times a month. Nowaday's if a fighter stubs his pinky toe, the fight is cancelled or postponed.

to tell you the truth, most of them really were superior (elites). Ex...throw a joe frazier in the hw div right now and hell clean it up in 2yrs or less
