I will say what I said when Floyd demands 60-40 because it applies to the other side of the equation aswell.
You go into negotiations with lofty goals because that is the point when you can demand the most, if you start out asking for 55% you can never get 60%. Someone can always scale back demands but it is very hard to demand more once you start scaling back.
To people that say Floyd needs Manny I will tell you something they need each other basically the same, Manny can fight Cotto sure tehn Floyd can fight Mosley I am sure tehy would both be paid well for these fights, but they still make a lot more fighting each other. Flopyd does not "need" Manny for his legacy sure it would help but there is more then one way to skin a cat, he does not even need to beat Manny to get his #1 spot back all he needs to do is keep winning big fights and wait for Manny to lose or stop fighting.
To make the biggest possible fight it takes 2 people not 1 person.Comment

as much as i hate bob arum i have 2 agree..pac is the man right now...hes the hot fighter...i dont give a damn that mayweather is undefeated he hasnt fought since 07 and theres no way hes entitled 2 60 or even 50..this fight will get made...maybe not this year cause i can see mayweather being stubborn but he needs the money and will eventualy give in and take the 40Comment

Enough that they were advertising on tostitos chips. I don't have any figures, but it was a long buildup. Not sure about you but I dont ever remember seeing adds for a fight on chips bags or through southwest airlines.
I don't care to look up the exact number, but they were fairly close, in a receccion to boot.Comment

How many times a day do you see the Floyd Mayweather AT&T commercial? How many different types of stations does it appear on?
This commercial is huge for Floyd, if Joe Damaggio can be known as the Mr.Coffee guy (a baseball legend)~ Floyd can be known as that boxer from the AT&T commercial~.Comment
