This trilogy is a wash, like I've always said. There's no right answer.
If you ask me, Morales won the first and second, Barrera clearly won the third.
I do think the trilogy is mainly a wash... it was super close regardless of how the fights went.
I do think that Barrera showed that he is a better fighter head-to-head against Morales. His fighting style seemed to be poison to Morales. The third fight really showed how much Barrera's style negated Morales's.

You are the only person i have spoken too that thinks Morales won the 1st fight.
Hyperion and a couple of others told me they thought Morales won the first fight. Morales did win a lot of the middle rounds pretty big.
I do think Barrera won the first though.

The judges had the first two mixed up. 1 shoulda gone to MAB, 2 should have gone to Terrible..
I had 3 for EM, too.
That trilogy had some strange scoring, when you think about it.
I think you voted wrong... it says you voted Morales, Barrera, Morales.
It's all about what you like sometimes. Some people scored Dawson-Johnson clearly in Johnson's favor. I on the other hand, like the judges, thought Dawson won the majority of the rounds and the fight.
And we wonder why there's so many controversial decisions.

The reason for this is because of who people pick as their favorite fighters.
I'm not saying they are biased just because it's their favorite fighter, but...
For instance, a Mayweather Jr. fan will likely score that fight for Chad Dawson. Why? Because they appreciate the slickster style, and have grown to give more credence to it.
A Julio Cesar Chavez fan would likely score that fight for Johnson. It's because they see the similarities to Chavez's pressure that they have fallen in love with, and generally see clean punches outweighing volume of somewhat ineffective punches.

That's why the trilogy is a wash. Morales probably won more rounds and had bigger rounds, but it was pretty clear that MAB was Morales' achilles heel.
I still believe Morales is the better fighter of the two though.
