Would Fans Forgive Margarito If He Dominated?

At the moment i'm unsure on how i would feel about it.

I really liked Margarito and he let me down.

personally? yeah... i dont know for sure that he cheated in the cotto fight so thats just speculation TO ME PERSONALLY..... but theres bad blood in those Mex/PR rivalries... i dont see too many being able to give him the chance...

NO, i liked Margarcheato in the past and i gave him credit when he beat Miguel but since i learned he cheated, i'm done with that pork.

No, Margarito tried to use loaded gloves against an aging, damn near 40 yr old boxer/hofer potential ATG that happens to use the moniker Sugar. You don't use loaded glove on any opponent, much less one that is destine to go in the history as one of the best ever, on a night that most thought would be his swan song. Let's not forget that before the fight this board was full of 'We Shane be killed' posts, no one think it would be an all out ASS Whoppin delivered by Shane. Margarito tried to cement his legacy off the back of Mosley using illegal tactics. Shane has earned the right to carry the moniker of Sugar and he should be respected. No overrated journeymen level club fighter with a brick chin and stamina should be able defoul that. In my view, on that night, Margarito tried to wipe his ass with the legacys of Robinson, Leonard, Ali, and Mosley and that is inexcusable. No Get back!!!!!!!

Maybe some fans will but I doubt it, his body of work will always be questioned, no matter what he does when he comes back.

Firstly, he never did dominate and he certainly never will again. I always said he was hugely overrated. He lacks some basic boxing skills, relying upon his durability and power (which may have always been false). Mosley put the type of beating on him that you don't recover from anyway, especially when you were so previously durable.

Arum is wrong to compare the Mosley-steroids situation with the Margarito-plaster cast situation. Mosley cheated and that I can't respect, but it wasn't a malicious form of cheating. Margarito cheated in a way that could have killed a fellow fighter.

I suppose I'll have to respect him if he comes back to dominate, but I doubt he can and I'll always dislike him.
