    Cottos body shots are overrated.....

Atleast against top tier competition they are... Cotto has only fought 2 fighters who had a legit shot at beating him.. We know who they are, and he arguably lost them both...

    Check me out..

The first fight he had with someone who had a legit chance to beat him in Mosley.. None of his punches hurt Mosley and he knew it so he ran...
A lot of people thought Mosley won... In fact Cotto was hurt to the body more than Mosley was..

Then another fighter who had a chance to beat him.. Tony.. He walked through Cottos punches just like Shane did.. Except Shane cant pressure like Tony can..

Now he's fighting another legit strong welter with a granite chin... Clottey wont be hurt.. But Cotto will probably win because he is gonna run and box.. He wont go toe to toe... He'll win a close decision in the same fashion he beat Mosley.. Clotteys inactivity and fighting in NY will be his downfall.. Everytime Kneeguel throws a punch, the crowd will go wild influencing the lame judges...

I hope Im wrong tho.. I hope Clotteys knocks this overrated fighters block off

I would not go as far as call them over rated, he does have some spectacular knock out via body shots. Sure it is not 100 % but it has worked wonders in the past.

So now that Cotto has shown you clowns more boxing, because before, and this was according to the great Addisson, that Cotto was one dimmensional and then he puts on a few little brawls and a boxing clinic against Mosley, and Cotto is no longer the robot like some of you fans who don't watch too much boxing but maybe one or two fights and then draw up some dumb conclusion with out seeing the whole picture.

This fight will most likely turn out like the Urkal fight in which a fighter with less power but has granite chin will survive. I see Cotto getting head butted reapeatidly by Clottey. This will go 12 rounds only because Clottey is tougher than the avarage bear. Clottey is no punk and this is the reason why many fighters do not want to mess with Clottey. I still see Cotto being able to execute the better plan. He who get's frustrated first will be the fighter that has to dig themselves out of that situation or start digging their hole deeper. Anything can happen but Clottey is just one of those tough African warriors with a solid head and a solid chin.

I don't care what happens in the end, I know the fans will get their moneys worth and no one will be booing but haters will complain about the split decision because that is where the cards will point. To who? Cotto me hopes but I am not Nostradamus.

In closing, some fighters are tough as nails and Clottey is one of them. Mosley is another one, Tony is another one and Urkal is another one. It is very hard to knock out a fighter who has never been knocked out before, I am not talking Ricky Hatton hype fighter either as he was knocked out as an amatuer so I knew he was chinny and his time would come. I am talking granite phuking heads and chins like Librado Andrade and so forth.

Cotto's probably the best body puncher in the sport. What are you talking about?

I actually remember Mosley being a bit cautious about Cotto's power.

fact is, Cotto couldn't even LAND his body shots against Mosley or Toney. Didnt even try to throw them really.

Clottey on the other hand, keeps his elbows up high in that peek-a-boo stance. Cotto should have a field day on that body. Clottey should try to use his fast hands to wack Cotto inbetween the body shots

Well it is true that he could not hurt Mosley and Margarito to the body and those are probably the best fighters he has fought.

He did beat Quintana with body punching, he broke down Zab with body punching then KO'ed him to the head if i recall. He broke down Torres with body punching first then the head, and I think he got the better of Malignaggi because of his body punching.

But let's not compare those names to Mosley and Margarito.

I think Cotto will have to box, because TS is right, he won't hurt Clottey in the body. If he tries to get inside, it's over for him because Clottey is too dangerous in the inside just ask Tony, a dangerous inside fighter himself that had no answer against Clottey's inside fighting. Margarito beat Clottey with workrate(1700 punches thrown), Cotto's most thrown punches in a 12 round fight was 600 something if I remember. That's not enough to beat Clottey.

Nobody thinks Mosley won. It was a close fight but it was obvious Cotto won
