It has nothing to do with him being PR. Arum and his scouts saw Cotto and said we like what we see. Same with Floyd, same with ODLH, same with Hagler, Arum and his associates have a very good eye for talent.

Now about Trinidad, yes he was a tad one dimmensional but he brought excitemtent to the ring. He was never caught with PLASTER in his wraps like Phoney Margarita was. Trinidad was accussed of over tapping but a lot of fighters do that specially fighters like Barrera. That is just one example.

Yes Trinidad got the nod and I thought he lost against ODLH but ODLH also got the nod over Felix Sturm, just to name one fighter.
