    Welter Weight tournament

A marketing genius would stage the biggest tournament in boxing much like Trinidad, Hopkins, Joppy, and Holmes did back in 2000-2001 for the Sugar Ray Robinson trophy...they can call it the Henry Armstrong trophy for the winner...that would be a dream come true at WW.

Who else would you bring to the tournament??? There should be a sweet 16 like in March Madness.

    1. Floyd Mayweather
    2. Manny Pacquiao
    3. Miguel Cotto
    4. Shan Mosley
    5. Antonio Margarito
    6. Paul Williams
    7. Joshua Clottey
    8. Luis Collazo
    9. Andre Berto
    10. Carlos Quintana
    11. Zab Judah
    11. Ricky Hatton
    12. Kermit Cintron
    13. Cory Spinks
    14. Vernon Forrest
    15. Daniel Santos
    16. Nate Campbell

Honor mentions: Timothy Bradley, Joan Guzman

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for Santos's training camp trying to get down to 147. **** would be hilarious.

It would take Bill Gates to afford all the money this sort of undertaking would cost. Unfortunately.. only in the twilight zone could this ever happen.

nah man you don't put on all the fights at the same time. space them out every couple of months just like the tournament with Tito and Hopkins. **** we purchase all the PPV's anyways...this would be big time.

140 lbers and 154 lbers should NOT be included in a 147 lbs tournament.

Henry Armstrong ruled all those divisions that's why it would be ok.

It's hard to get a legit main event lined up with a legit undercard. All the different schedules and money would make this impossible. If you were lucky you can **** out 3 or 4 important fights over the course of a year and a half. Much more than that and it's nothing more than an NSB fantasy.

I think if you get all the promoters, managers and boxers on the same page it would be possible but you are right just a NBS wet dream and nothing more.
