Its part of the Filipino culture....just because he is considered the best fighter alive...doesn't mean he has to act like one...the filipino culture has always been about "putting other's (friends and family) hapiness before your own"....all he is doing is "listening" to what his friends, family and advisors are telling him...
And he does have FINAL say in whatever goes down in his career....
Wouldn't you listen to Arum if he made you and your loved ones millions and millions of dollars? Don't tell me you wouldn't cuz you'd be lying.....

the difference is that Oscar doesn't answer to anybody, Mayweather answers to De La Hoya.
Oscar has Mayweather by the balls for the next 5 fights, he's under GBP contract.

the last p4p king tried to do both...he ended up with two pouty retirements and having comeback fights against smaller fighters

he's got 2 more fights then he's gonna retire. I don't think that's enough time to be his own man.

plus the way pac makes business decisions is scary. he took the hatton fight because his non-alcoholic friend took 2 beers to prove his sincerity.

I dunno about u guys, but I don't want that guy to be my promoter if I was a boxer.

it was also his **** up in signing two contracts that opened the door for Top Rank and Golden Boy fighters to make fights together

pacquiao is making arum millions and million of dollars, not the other way around. pacman doesnt need arum, but arum needs pacman. im not saying pacquiao should leave arum. but he should stop saying "its up to my team" when ppl ask him who he wants to fight next. he should be his own man (or grab his balls if u will) and say who he wants to fight. arum wont have a choice but to be down with it, pacquiao should do his thing and not let arum make his decisions for him.

Manny chooses to separate the two and there is nothing wrong with that. Every one is rich off the current system. He chooses to focus on training and destroying his opponents and lets others handle the promoting aspects. What is the problem?

And Floyd doesn't make any rules, Oscar is still his daddy
