Nonito Donaire Ordered By The IBF To Rematch Mthalane

It appears the IBF has ordered a rematch between IBF flyweight champion Nonito Donaire and South African fighter Moruti Mthalane. Donaire stopped Mthalane in six rounds last November after a cut suffered by Mthalane was deemed too serious to allow him to continue. [details]

Donaire is nothing special, all he gets credit for is that win against Darchinyan lives on past achievements, ...if they fought again darchy would in his own words "destroy him", besides the african guy was kickin' his ass

Good news. Mthalane was coming on late, and Donaire was in a fight and knew it.

Donaire actually gestured towards the referee to have him look at Mthalane's cut and was ecstatic once the fight was called off.

I'll be looking forward to the rematch.

I had third row seats for this fight and saw first hand how Mthalane was whoopin his ass and saw donaire's relieved reaction when the fight was called and he defnitely pointed the cut to the ref. what a *****...

Still angry on how Donaire knocked the **** out of your boy? Poor sport even said he wasnt hurt and was begging for a rematch after the fight. Then, after all the stars cleared from his head he wanted no more of Donaire and moved up and ducked.

Mthalane deserves the rematch. Im guessing he will end up fighting for a vacant title, but im glad he will get another shot anyway. No way they let Donaire get anywhere close to him after the last fight. After a timid first 3 rounds, Mthlane had clearly tied it back up 3-3 coming into the 7th, and was the one with momentum. I think he would have won the fight had it continued..
