I know of no fight Cotto cheated. Also, having been a somewhat laid-back poster cuz I'm not well informed as most of you, (doesn't mean my opinion is wrong), why can't you guys post w/o tons of ******* and asses? Saying his career is a joke is the real joke. It took a long time for Top Rank to put him in big fights but once they did he did well for himself. Fighting Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Margarito, and now Clottey is very solid. We dont know if Margarito used plaster but either way I don't blame him for quitting. He was taking nasty shots and could've gotten killed if he didn't quit. He does lack stamina and he really needs to work on that. He was gassed against Mosley and Marg. Great fighter. Should he be on the P4P list? Yes toward the bottom, with a couple more great wins he should be top 5

as a hatton fan i dont think hatton should be ranked the same as cotto simply because cotto wasnt sparked out in 2 rounds. it is a little strange that he jumps up to 7th without having a fight! espescially when you look at cottos last 3 fights. but cotto is surely a top ten fighter even with 1 tko defeat and 2 bums in last 3 fights.

If this was paul malignaggi instead of Miguel Cotto would the bold part earn him top 10?

Cotto is a good fighter but definatley over-rated. He got destroyed by Margarito, shows no pace what so ever and is a quitter- officially.

He couldn't put Malignaggi away in 12 rounds- Hatton did

I have no real problem with Cotto but when his huggers claim he'd beat Floyd- don't make me laugh

I used to be very critical of Cotto. Not of his ability but of his career path and slow progress that Top Rank had him on. In fact, when I had more free time I used to write for another website and I wrote an article talking about this. Since then he has earned my respect big time in the last 2.5 years. He's now one of my Top 5 Fav fighters.

I'm not a ruthless Cotto hater like Flawless is. But I don't think he's as good as his hardcore fans make him out to be. I don't really care where he's ranked P4P, just as long as Mosley and Williams are ranked above him.
