Get ready for the post-fight Clottey bandwagon

If Joshua Clottey beats Cotto at MSG during the PR Day Parade weekend like I think he will, I think his stock will shoot sky high. I don't buy the opinions that he still won't be in the mix for bigger fights. He'd be the WBO champion and be looked at as the first true victor over Cotto (without plaster controversy). He still might not be a star, but I think he could lure some decent names into the ring with him. Instead of going that route, he might be ballsy enough to call out Paul Williams in a fight that the winner would benefit immensely from.

I already know that the fans will covet him as the next great thing, even though there are many doubters now. There definitely will be talk of him as being one of the elite welterweights. Perhaps he even might crack a P4P list or two. I look forward to Saturday night, because I think Clottey deserves all the spoils that a win would bring him.

I like both guys, but I think Clottey is bringin a hungry enuf effort to edge it. Dude's been slept on and cast aside for a while, and gave up his belt to get the fight. As long as there's no controversy, Clottey would mos def raise his stock wit a win. If he did win, SSM needs to fight him. With Cotto beaten, Pac would fight Mr boat buyer 4 sho, and SSM would have no choice but to face him. But I heard before Clottey said he's goin for Pwill if he wins. I don't think Pwill can make 147 and be strong anymore, but that fight is good if it happens.

Just re-watched Cotto vs Margarito and Clottey vs Margarito, I'm more convinced that Clottey will win on Saturday. Not because of how they fared against Margarito, just the styles. Cotto is in for a boxing clinic. If Clottey's left hand stays healthy throughout the whole fight, i don't see Cotto winning one round.
