      Its the management

Diaz's Management is making the calls on the ****** catchweight. No way the Baby Bull is that concerned with Paulie after everyone he's been in with. I think he would fight him at 140 if it was up to him.

This is an easy win for Diaz. Paulie has no power to get his respect so it's not even much of a contest.

If this fight comes off, it'll be the end of Paulie as a top attraction. Sucks, cuz Paulie has the things you can't teach...heart, balls, and self-confidence. It's really a shame his physical being doesn't respond very well to the rough line of work that he's chosen for himself. I hope he becomes a famous actor or something.

The most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time is some foolish ignorant person on here saying

              "easy with for diaz"

Really, Paulie can box, he can't punch, but he can box. As mentioned, he has tools that every trainer wishes their fighters had. Ask Cotto how easy Paulie was to put away. Paulie has said straight-up this whole time, "If I could get down to 135 I would be fighting at 135". He can't get lower than 39 without starving, killing, and damaging himself.

This fight isn't as easy for Diaz as people think.

Im surprised Diaz wants to stay at Lightweight with the way he balloons up. Silly having it at 139 or 138, just do 140, Diaz will make that alot easier then Paulie dropping below that. You know, dont know why Diaz wont, seen as its going to be a real easy KO victory for him.

Poeple really dont know much about boxing, just judge by peoples power as opposed to their skill as a boxer.

I get the whole "boxing is a business" argument

but in this case, I don't think it should apply.

cuz if Diaz wants to fight Paulie, he already agreed to go up from 135 to make the fight

why get hung up on ONE pound?

and doesn't fighting at a catchweight take the credibility away from the fight a bit?

after all it's not like Roy Jones fighting and beating Trinidad at 170 proved a whole lot.

**what started this god awful catchweight "trend" in the first place?
