Look all im saying is you gotta be nuts to think Cotto would work Mayweather. He gets hit way to much
Cotto is known to come forward and take wateva u give him, not blockin all the time and counterpunching, even wit that he is better than alot of em out there, if he took punishment from a slow fighter who takes flush shots THE WHOLE FIGHT then dont tell me that a couple of Mayweather punches will do him damages the way u making it sound, Cotto is a tuff fighter, i think youre overlooking that, look what happened wit Torres, and he came back and knocked him TKO him, how? body shots, and May doesnt throw alot of punches, most of his time he is behind his punches and running, thats how i know he has slight chance against Cotto. And yea Clottey had him the first couple of rounds without gettin hit much, but remember that Clottey is a VERY defensive fighter and STILL got tagged.

But i guess we all have opinions and there is a limit to talk before we actually have the facts in front of us, whenever (WHICH I HOPE IT HAPPENS) that fight comes around, id have no problems betting you on a KO

It's weird for a boxer to want to quit in the first half of the fight. Maybe his mentality is not all the way up just yet.. I hope he doesn't quit with Cotto I don't want to watch a 5 rounds fight.

Jake Donovan has some good pieces on this site but this story has got some holes in it. Cotto has no choice but to fight Welterweights. Because he can't move down and in my view he can't go up. I respect the fact that Cotto has Margarito, Mosley, and Clottey on his resume. But letting Paul Williams leave the division without trying to get a fight with him should be a big dent in his legacy and resume in my opinion. And the reason I say that is because he is a better fighter than all those guys above I mentioned on Cotto's resume. And I do think there's a double standard with Cotto and Mayweather. I think Cotto and Arum are a big reason why no recognized Welterweight champion has been crowned since Mayweather retired. Arum kept Cotto far away from Paul Williams after he saw Margarito get outboxed. And the potential fight between Cotto and Williams would have crowned a linear champ because they were ranked #1 and 2. And Cotto went on to get a disputed decision against Shane Mosley after Mosley hadn't fought in 9 months since the fight with Collazo. And regardless of how much Mosley wants Pacquiao, I still got my doubts about Cotto wanting to rematch Mosley. I'm just calling it how it is.

You right, i never thought about it that way, real Pro's go all the way no matter what, things like that happen all the time, there is always another hand. I hope he doesnt quit, i hope Cotto quits him.
