I think you score comparatively. When fighters get dominated early, when they tend to do a better in next rounds ppl feel more inclined to score the round for them. Theres no way Margarito won rounds 7-11.

Yes, Paul Williams won the fight. Not with ease at all. If the 12th would have been scored for Margarito, it would have been a draw, or a win...That is no "clinic"...Or ease.

The Quintana fight was far from dominating, although it was clear that he lost.

As for the Margarito fight, He won the first six easy, the telfth, and one other round in there. Forgot which one. He was hurt to the body by Margarito, but it was clear that Williams was the better man.
