as for hearns, he was a skinny little dude, but when he grew up and filled out, he became a puncher. not 100% sure if that wasn't just genetics.
A great deal of that came from refining his technique as well. He had to learn how to use his physical gifts to maximize his punching power.

      3) you don't need to know sports science to be a good boxer, but if you're an amatuer or a pro without someone that does know sports science, or you're too cheap to hire a professional nutritionists / endurance coach / etc..., you might as well go to the local library and check it out.
Yea I agree with this, although certain aspect of chin can be improved by pure technique (keeping the chin tucked in for or a fighter keeping their moouth closed for example). The first two though there is only so much you improve upon genetics.

Number 3 is on point also, because that can help a lot with training and nutrition (if a fighter is not going to get people for these specific jobs, and early on in a career a fighter may not have much of a choice in the matter).

You both fight at around the same age let's say 26

Those 11 years experience is minimal, it doesn't take a considerable amount of time to adapt to the fundementals of boxing, anyone can do it... it's the talent your born with that get you to the next level.

So starting at a young age is good, but it isn't as important as you think.
nah... the guy starting out at 19 has to be a phenom or a natural. that's kinda late to start in the game.
