i was just watching some of his fights..he looks pretty decent..has alot of power and decent boxing skills..whats your guys opinion of him and what potential do u think he has?

the first time i saw green was on showtime when he knocked out cold a prospect out BAD!!!!

green is actually a very good fighter, good power in both hands, a good size for a SMW and is quite clever in between the ropes.

before his loss to miranda he was being touted as the next big thing in the SMW division, some people even thought he had the beating of lacy who at the time was seen to be a supernatural force in the SMW division.

however he had some health problems (something wrong with his colon or digestive system i think) and underperformed in the miranda fight, he looked sloppy, lethargic and was beaten by pantera. since then however he has strung togther some good victories but he consistently prices himself out of big fights.

in a division stacked with talent he has been linked with kessler, lacy, bika, miranda (again), bute, jean-pascal, taylor, andrade and froch there was talk of a match up with g. johnson as well at one point. now some of these fights didn't get made because of politics (i.e taylor) or he was ducked (i.e lacy) but in negotiations with andrade, bika, bute and pascal greene priced himself out and only has himself to blame.

Green is a badass, but he has been hampered with a serious medical issue, as well as questionable management decisions in the past which caused him to take fights at weights to light for him to be effective.

As long as he doesnt go below 168, he has the ability to beat just about anyone at the weight..........

I think Allan Green has a boat load of talent. He hasn't faced a TOP contender aside from Miranda but i think this is his time to make a statement now since there seems to be a quite a few matchups to be made at SMW.
