Jack Johnson used to talk to his girlfriend while beating up and opponent and say "this guy can't beat me" and **** like that.

Tony Galento talked a ton of ****. Joe Louis said he hated Galento, but grew to like him later on.

Roberto Duran was real vulgar. Calling Juanita Leonard a whore, saying he would've sent Ray Lampkin to the morgue if he was in better shape, exposing himself in a crowd full of women and children.

Tex Cobb had a real quick wit about him, whether it be trash-talking, or making a joke at his own expense.

A really early example of effective trash talking was Young Corbett.

Corbett had won the battle of psychological warfare by incensing McGovern and causing him to lose his cool. Before the fight he went by McGovern’s dressing room and yelled, “Come on out you Irish Rat, and take the licking of your life." McGovern charged at Corbett during the opening bell but didn’t cover up and left himself wide open. Corbett landed a strong right hand counter that put McGovern on his pants. McGovern came back and decked Corbett the same round but he was making mistakes. In the second round Corbett again caught McGovern coming in wildly and knocked him down for the second time and soon finished him.

Floyd absolutely embarrassed DLH.

I didn't see this, I thought Floyd was digging a bigger hole for himself and looking more and more of a fool.

I like his talking when in interviews but this looked like it backfired more than anything even if it did have effect on DLH.

Ali has memorable quotes, it's funny and non of it is done with this ****** style crap that Floyd issues.
