know how you can find out,
ask a mexican living in mexico "who's the best mexican boxer"
and they will almost always say "chavez"

chavez fought like a mexican every fight,
he is the ideal mexican fighter,
i know mexican people who took a day off work to watch a chavez fight.

even is JMM beat floyd, chavez is a mexican icon.

Did he actually beat Meldrick Taylor and Whitaker? Or were fighters cheated against the legendary Chavez?

I'm still directing the question at you and asking for your opinion. I'm not asking from a biased perspective of someone who is Mexican blood.

No. Good case for top 5 though, especially if it's an impressive victory.

How about Salvador Sanchez having beat Azumah Nelson and Wilfred Gomez? Even though he died young...JMM, would you say he has accomplished more then Sanchez?
