Cotto can take the pounches of most men except Margarito. But I see him fighting smart this time and avoiding those pounches winning a wide UD.
Joshua Clottey: I Know For A Fact Cotto Can Not Take My Punches

[QUOTE=Bhopreign;5447176]Im starting to believe he may be right, the man is just too strong.
There is no way in the world Clottey is knocking out Cotto. Clottey is more of a flash puncher the a power puncher. He punches with his hands open which allow for quicker but softer punches. As oppose to Cotto who throws every punch with malice intent. You say Clottey is strong but look at his KO ratio which isn't good but what really gets me is out of his 20 KO's his opponents records break down like this 13 KO's vs opponents with 0 wins, 1 KO vs opponents with 1 win and 1 KO vs opponent with 2 wins. thats 15 KO's out of his 20 that his opponents have a combined record of 3 wins and 23 loses. Now if that calculates to him Knocking out Cotto who has fought far superior opposition then I have no clue what in the hell you are watching. If the fight against Margarito is swaying you or the fight against a 143 pound Zab Judah which he couldn't even Knock down then you are a product of deception. Look Cotto was physically stronger then Zab who the day of the fight weighted in at 155 as oppose to 145 the day he fought Clottey. Believe me when I say people will be surprised when they see how strength will not be a factor in the fight they will both come in to the fight around 156 or more. During the press pictures look at them face to face no notable size difference.Comment

HATE??
Obviously you aren't talking about me because you're smart enough to see that in my signature Cotto is the second person on my favorite boxer's list. So I know you're not referring to me.
Clottely is textbook when it comes to boxing fundamentals, there's rarely a kink in his armour... he's also a more accurate puncher than people give him credit for
Cotto won't be comfortable in the ring with Clottey (clottey won't allow it). Clottely will also take advantage when cotto lowers his gaurd in the later rounds.
I'm not saying it's gauranteed but I am saying that it is possible that Clottey will outpoint cotto by landing more accurate punches and controlling the fight with effective aggression ergo outboxing cotto to a decision.
Everyone expects cotto to outbox clottey but i won't be surprised if the opposite occurs. Clottey is no slouch. If i'm wrong then I'm wrong, but I still see a good fight... I won't go and hang myself like some y'all nuthuggersComment

Clottey is not going to outbox Cotto. If that is Clottey's strategy he will fail big time.Comment
