The year lay off and the KO he suffered at the hands of Mosley are two things that I don't think he can come back from.

I think it's all dependent on where Cotto's career is going from now to when Margarito returns (if he even does).

I'd love to see a rematch, but considering Margarito may not fight for a lengthy time and Cotto is going on to possibly getting back in the mix with big fights, I doubt Margarito jumps right into fighting elite guys. That's where he messed up the most being he worked through the ranks to even get the shot at Cotto.

The Plaster scandal hurt Margarito a lot worse than people think in the big scheme of things. Cotto may be saying he'll take a Margarito rematch, but by the time Margarito gets his lisence reinstated (if it does), who knows where Cotto is going to be in his career.

If Cotto loses to Clottey I think its safe to say the chances of Cotto vs Marg II become a bit more realistic as Cotto IMO would be back at the level of Berto and other WWs not necessarily under the radar, but not on the elite level (where Margarito is today).
