Am I the only one thinking Wladimir would pose the bigger threat to Haye? Not that I'd favor Haye over Vitali but against Wladimir I'd give him less than a 5% chance of winning. People love to say how the key to defeating Wlad is dodging his jab and finding a gap to his glass chin. Funnily no fighter has come close to dealing with Wlad's jab in his prime (Chagaev, Chambers, Peter II) and I would bet my mother on Haye not being able to dodge that jab. No, in fact I regard Wladimir's jab as one of the most ridiculously imbalanced tools in HW history making him close to invulnerable if you're not named Tyson, Ali or Lewis.
Bob and weave and you're through? Sure as fack not and I love how Wlad loses like 98% of the phantasy match ups when I fail to count 10 fighters in HW history who I consider able to handle that kind of boxer/puncher.
Dodge the jab and you eat a devastating right hand or a brutal left hook and if you somehow manage to come close a 250lbs 6"6' body builder will clinch you immediately - not a very promising approach.
Refrain from dodging the jab and lose every round + the risk of getting KOed virtually any second you're unfocused (look at Chambers).
Wladimir would walk right through Haye.Last edited by Faerun; 01-15-2011, 07:57 PM.Comment

This will be every bit as interesting as Wlad vs Haye. And i congratulate Haye if he has signed to fight. He just needs to fight and stop hanging around like a bad smell, not doing anything.
Seems like little wlad wanted to pass the buck to his older bro. If haye beats big bro, i wonder if little bro would like revenge?Comment
