sadly..i think his boxing career ended with the clottey fight and i think it contributed to his death..after the clottey fight i had a very bad feeling and days later it was justified...chico had nowhere to go..couldnt move up or down...and sadley before the clottey fight its showed him in the gym googing around in good spirits..that fight crushed him

Hard to say I guess. But if Gatti goes to the hall of fame, Corrales belongs in there too. And I view both of them as borderline cases that more than likely don't deserve to be in there. A fight between those two would have been exciting while it lasted more than likely but Corrales would have eventually smashed him.

Seeing him with his trainer after the fight was very emotional, you couldn't help but feel sorry for him.

It was obvious he was gonna burn out.

The way he died was pretty crazy though, I wouldn't want any family to go through that.

We all pretty much knew he was done after Clottey, and there was no going down.

When you get older and you're tall, 135 and 140 would've been extremely difficult to make for him.

Chico was seriously in a pinch by the time he died. Dude was just having ridiculous weight problems. And to make it worse, he was way too outsized at Welter. I remember being real worried for his future.

No disrespect to Corrales, but I think he'd be retired but if he was still boxing he wouldnt be a top contender, in large part of his life style out side the ring...

                May he rest in peace

Add to that he was in terrible financial shape and you can only conclude that he would still be trying to make a living, trading on his name to test prospects on ESPN or ShoBox.
