ive never watched this much mma in my life i dont think i ever even watched a full round just highlights and clips. i was watching boxing stuff and one of the videos i watched again was that espn debate with lou dibella and joe rogan. then the thought popped into my head of searching for mma guys that have boxed in the octagon. i just kept watching more and more vids. it all ended up with me watching nick diaz vs noons and diaz vs shamrock because ive heard of diaz before, thos fights were pretty interesting. i was actually sitting there watching these fights in focus and interest like i do with boxing fights and when i realized this i was like holy **** wtf? im not saying im going to buy the next mma ppv or that im a new devoted mma fan but some of these fights are pretty interesting. it really got me tuned in because i was watching mma fights looking for stand up fighting but some of the ground stuff interested me because i like when a guy that is in submission breaks out out of it and when they get in positiong to start throwing thos downward punches. some of the people that i saw get knocked out while standing up could have avoided too easily imo tho. sometimes it seems like they also throw their stand up punches extremely slow compared to boxing punches, maybe to try and conserve energy for other things in their arsenal.
so i found myself watching mma for the past 2hrs

Ughh, I like Nick Diaz, but I hate that people think he has boxing ability. His boxing looks terrible, effective to MMA fighters, but terrible. But all in all I like MMA, it's good for what it is.Comment

I enjoy watching certain people Anderson Silva is usually good to watch although his past two performances have been lacklustrebut hes a great striker.
Fedor always leaves you with some shock moments, like when he KO'd Arlovski or managed to not be KO'd after taking a Suplex and landing on his neck..Comment

i still don't get this mma vs. boxing debate. they are 2 different sports and you need very different skills to compete in them. this is what should end the discussion, if a top-notch boxer fighters a top notch mma fighter in a boxing match, the boxer wins. in a mma match, the mma guy wins. simple.Comment

i like when they stand up and fight. i was a big fan of chuck liddell cause he didnt do the whole BJJ thing. i like anderson silva cause he doesnt go to the ground alot. some of the fights a intresting to me as long as they're standing up and fighting. once they go to the ground i change the channelLast edited by Shadow boxer 3; 06-07-2009, 04:41 PM.Comment
