What's up with Winky?

If he could get a shot, I think Winky could still beat Sturm and Pavlik, possibly AA. But the odds of him gettin the chance are low. I hope he at least gets 1 more win before he walks.

I can only see him getting fights with the people nobody else wants to fight i.e paul williams, possibly Antonio Margarito when he comes back?, Carlos Quintana, Sergio Mora that kind of fighters that is at this moment in time high risk/low reward, nobody wants to fight them, Nobody will want to fight margarito when he comes back because he become high risk/low reward

Na, a come forward fighter who throws a lot of punches is Kelly Pavlik, Winky would block all of his punches and jab him to death. Paul Williams is a fighter who throws a lot of punches, comes forward, and has lateral movement/gives a hell of a lot of angles. Williams>Wright>Pavlik. I believe Winky Wright vs Arthur Abraham would make for a good fight due t their sacraficing of workrate for accuracy and blocking.

My boy Hyperion (the other huge Winky fan on these forums) pointed out the reason that Wright can't beat a puncher anymore. You need strong legs in order to block hard punches, and Wright's legs are just gone. He would have his best chance against a slick (sort of) fighter like Felix Sturm if he is going to make a run at a middleweight title. Pavlik's workrate would give Wright problems (as well as his consistent power) and Abraham's sheer power would give Wright problems.

I have a hard time picking Winky over either Pavlik or Abraham at this point.
