He may not be the best WW out there, hell you could even say he sucks past the 4th round, but if any of you have noticed all the fighters that have fought and beaten Zab have went on to do better and better things. Kostya became famous off him, Cotto got big money fights with Mosley, Margarito and became one of the best WWs, Baldomire got an opportunity to make some good money and fight Floyd, and Floyd went on to become the undisputed WW champ and get huge paydays with Oscar and Hatton when before Zab he never made over 5 million for a fight. Also Clottey now is making the biggest purse of his career and a shot at Cotto. Based on these points I think Williams should make another splash in the division, fight Zab Judah, stop him in the mid rounds, and possibly get the big fight he has been craving for. Its simple really. If you fight and beat Zab Judah (the WW gatekeeper) you will go on to do big things, or at least get a big opportunity, and I really think Williams should consider this fight.
You have a point I suppose. Hell, if a guy like Clottey was able to land a fight with Cotto off a convincing win over Judah then that does tell you how beating this guy can get your career off the ground. But how many times does this slug have to be recycled for boxing fans to get the point that he's done at the elite level?
