That is true. Chagaev is not well known in America. It's not like Tony Thompson and others were well known either though.

I expect for another American network to pick this up.

You should be happy, HBO can put on a lot better fights down the road because they passed on this fight(I assume they pay Wlad atleast a couple million for this rights that is enough money to put on several cards), since the fight more then likely will get shown in the US anyways.
      Agree 100%

This is a win/win for Boxing fans, we will still get to see the fight on either ESPN or Showtime and HBO will have that money for better fights down the road.

Because they wanted to see Haye and an exciting fight, this is veryu far from that despite his resume/ranking. Maybe they thought rejecting it would persuade them to wait for Haye

If you bought a Brown Mr Whippy Ice cream only to find out it was really dog **** stuck on a cone, would you buy the next brown Mr Whippy you where offered?

Wlads fights are snooze enducing and only the Hayemaker was selling the deal, so why would they pay for it?

because they were obligated to. It had to do something with the klits contract. Dan rafael talked about it yesterday on his chat. I'm sure hbo didnt want to show it after the klits boring ass fights but it was on there contract
