Ruben Olivares "El Puas" was the man, he basically perfected the left to the body, and Chavez is said to have seen and learned it from him, El Raton Macias was a famous mexican boxer who was loved by all of mexico and he became a superstar in mexico to the point of him doing movies like el santo, El Alacran Torres was a devastating puncher that did his thing briefly, he fought Olivares and got KTFO. El Zurdo de ORO vicente Saldivar was the man he was one of the great lefty's of mexico

Rafael Herrera is known for the fights with chucho castillo, Olivarez and rodolfo martinez, Becerra is known for defeating halimi. Halimi had beaten El Raton Macias. Zurita is a hof'er and so is el gato gonzalez (lately, and contravercially)

basically I wanted to shed some light on old mexican fighters my dad grew up watching and hearing about from his grandpa. The requisites were that they had to have been champs on or before 1975, I was going to make another sig with guys from 75-85 another 8 guys then make the most common fighters sig from 85-current. That was the idea because having zarate, cuevas, zaragoza and chavez morales, barrera, lopez, chikita, marquez bro's, vazquez, etc. would make it hard to put on 1 sig respectfully

oh and that's not counting Mexican heroes from cuba, like Ultiminio Ramos, and Napoles, who were adopted by Mexican fans as Mexican, and Napoles himself said he concidered himself Mexican because when he defected he was embraced by Mexicans.
