i see where you're coming from but you've seen the pictures of the gauze from the CSAC right? it doesnt even look like a huge block of plaster, it looks like regular gauze (which seems it was just lightly coated or something because you can still see the fibers in the gauze)

Margarito was a very solid, exciting, but also overrated fighter. That being said I did like to watch his fights because he was exciting. I, however, feel that what he did was unexcusable and he should be banned for life. To all the people who feel he should be let back in, would you be saying that if he got caught after the fight and Mosley or any opponent was seriously hurt or killed? what would the reaction be then knowing that he had used plaster. These handwraps are DEADLY WEAPONS when used in this manner by a professionally trained fighter. He dishonored the sport and should never, ever be allowed to fight again.

As far as Shane Mosley, I do not understand why people don't really make a big deal out of the steroid issue. What he did is no different than Bonds, Marion Jones, or Roger Clemens. At least A Rod told the truth before going through all these lies. Mosley told the grand jury that he knew what he was taking but has told the media that he didn't know. C'mon does anyone really believe that. Again, I don't feel it's AS BAD as Marg because Marg's wraps were illegal weapons, but stil, he intentionally cheated and it's much worse than in baseball because in baseball the records can be tainted but you'r not physically trying to hurt someone. In boxing you are and becoming, stronger and faster illegally is very dangerous. Again, what would be said if he was juiced and his opponent was hurt or killed? In my opinion any steroid user should be banned for 2 years in boxing and a second offense would bring a lifetime suspension. And I have always been a huge fan of Mosley but I just feel the sport of boxing is too dangerous to tolerate anything like this.

Even with what I said, I do defend Margarito's victory over Cotto and I'm a pretty big Cotto fan. Did he use plaster in that fight? It's likely but unless they admit it, it will likely never be proven. He should not be 33-0 with 1 NC. His corner did not watch the handwrapping, therefore they can't really accuse or blame. They can only speculate, therefore the fights stands as is.
