Greats beat champions! cotto has yet to beat ANY champion! Vacant titles against pinto's, gomez's, and british skateboarders doesn't make you great. He needs to beat the floyd's the williams, the margarito's. He should easily beat clottey. Clottey tires and gets lazy often. I don't see why people actually think clottey has a chance. Maybe its due to it be 5 steps up in class from a michael jennings. Cotto will kill clottey. I think cotto would kill williams as well. I don't see him beating floyd and of course he already got stopped by margarito.

Give him time...................who was rightfully appreciated in their time anyway...............Im a bit biased but i think that history will look more favorably at Miguel when it takes into account the.....Margarito debacle.............................its a long way................but we e on our way...................Clottey aint Easy too though.................

he beat shane mosley of of the best of this era he beat quintana who beat p williams he will beat clottey he beat some of these fighters who were champions b4 or after they fought he has beaten champions just not for the belts like against margarito they stripped marg so he couldnt fight for the title also with clottey the same thing it aint his fault

Believe that.....................this KID has it all....................he can deal with all kinds of style.......................speedsters,lefties,box ers,pressure fighters,and boxers who have plasters in their gloves...................his chin is underrated.............his bodypunching the best of today................his stamina though is a bit desirable.......................I always liked Clottey...............but............nobody can Deny Cotto............Cotto v.s. Nobody is a flat out complete fighter. Everyone has flaws to be honest.

Cotto's stamina failed him against Margarito(lotta lateral movement got em) and he didn't have the discipline to stay on the outside. I gotta give Margarito credit tho his pressure was relentless.

Cotto's a fighter not a pure boxer. His natural instinct was to fight back...

I think cotto will easily handle clottey. I hope cotto does become great though because that can only do nothing but good for boxing. Imagine him being a great fighter and then down the road victor ortiz moves up and challenges him. I'd like to see the margarito fight again to settle the score even though if cotto won they'd still be 1-1 l. He'd have to beat him mosley style to really make a statement. Who knows what margarito is going to be when he comes back. He took some major punishment in the cotto fight which I think took a toll on him. He's had a lot of contraversy around him and he needs to fight in mexico to keep his form. We might have seen the end of margarito as we've known him so cotto might have to just move on and coniltinue to show his ability. I would love a floyd vs cotto fight more than any other fight. I think that has fireworks written all over it!
